Bunnell, FL - Schools may be temporarily closed in Flagler County, but the Sheriff's Office wants to keep the reading going.
Therefore, in order to stay connected with the youth of Flagler, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office launched a brand new video series called "Read with FCSO."
The program, which is distributed for free through their YouTube page, will feature school resource deputies from the Flagler area. As the deputies read to kids, an enlarged picture of the page they're reading will appear on the screen for kids to follow along with.
“COVID-19 has affected almost every single aspect of our daily lives, our children included,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This video series will allow kids the opportunity to maintain that positive connection with their School Resource Deputy during this time. We hope this provides some comfort to our kids during this crisis."
No release schedule has been announced, but kids and parents can check back with FCSO on Facebook or YouTube to see if another episode has been posted.
